Conferred by the International Confederation of NGOs (iCONGO) in partnership with the United Nations, the REX Karmaveer Chakra Awards have acknowledged Sunaayy’s grassroots impact in 2019, 2023, and 2024. In a milestone moment, our teachers and volunteers stood together on stage in 2024—symbolizing a movement powered by courage, growth, and collective spirit.

This recognition celebrated Sunaayy’s commitment to creating access to quality education and opportunity for underserved communities, reinforcing the value of grassroots action in driving long-term change.

Sunaayy’s work found presence on global stages, including events hosted by the World Bank and the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), where our founder attended as part of a growing community of changemakers. These experiences have helped put a grassroots organization like ours on the global map—reminding the world that sustainable change often begins at the margins.
